So I talked a little about my artwork in my youth before. I was always a big fan of the abstract and the surreal. I was also really interested in reflections and installation art.
My love of the abstract carried on into my photography and when I get the chance I like to make abstract art with my photographs. This might seem weird, I mean how can photography be abstract?
Part of my fascination with this is that making abstract photographs is a challenge. I have always had an eye for the abstract. I see things differently than most folks, I think it is because of my inability to see properly for all of my childhood, only getting glasses when I became a teenager taught me to look for patterns shapes before looking for detail because for me there was none.
Anyway I mention it today because I also do abstract photography, it is a very niché thing but some of my work is available to buy now at the Puffin Gallery Ballycastle! Lots of other great local artist's work there too, please support local, both the gallery and us artists!
